Closed Primaries and Ol' Russ

Not Buck ponders the possible end of Russ Potts in light of the federal court ruling that almost closes the door to the stratagem that saved Potts in 2003.

I have to agree that if anyone can find a way to get on the ballot and win, it's probably Potts. However, in the 2005 gubernatorial sweepstakes, he did say he would not run for the Senate again in 2007.

Maybe he won't. But this ruling might help solidify that promise, just in case he was having any second thoughts.

"Oh, so Mother Nature needs a favor? Well maybe she should have thought of that when she was besetting us with droughts and floods and poison monkeys. Nature started the fight for survival and now she wants to quit because she's losing. Well I say, hard cheese!" -- Montgomery Burns
