In 10 Words or Less...

Via the Hotline comes a list of 10 slogans chosen as finalists for the high honor of defining what the Democratic party stands for. They are:
"The Democratic Party: People are our only 'Special Interest.' "
Stacy, Iverness, FL
"Effective, honest government, serving the needs of all its citizens."
Matt, O Fallon, MO
"Working for millions of people, not millions of dollars."
Matt, Santa Monica, CA
"A Strong Nation and Economy through Fairness, Reason, and Community."
Drew, Blairsburg, IA
"Government led by people who believe good government is possible."
Cathy, Columbus, OH
"Equal opportunities, better lives, and honest government for all Americans."
Rob, Decorah, IA
"The Democratic Party- Tackling problems and finding practical solutions."
Don, Letts, IA
"Leadership that will restore the American Dream to all Americans."
Bill, Stewartstown, PA
"Common sense for the common good."
Jason, Chicago, IL, Brenda, Wakefield, RI, and Robert, Timonium, MD
"The Democrats highest ideal: Help people achieve their full potential."
Gary, Tulsa OK
What...no, "from each according to his ability, to each according to his need"?
Though I must say that these are somewhat refreshing after a constant barrage of "moving forward together" hokum.
There are lots more here. One of my personal favorites, in light of Ford's recent plant closing announcement:
Are you paid by the hour Democrats work for you
No word yet on whether they also work for punctuation.
