Back to the Drawing Board
Thursday, March 30, 2006 :::
The Chichester reboot proposal having failed (in what the TD's Tyler Whitley describes as a "revolt by Republicans and Democrats"), the nabobs are back where they started. With the addition, of course, of that silly-damned tax on "big oil companies."
The economic illiteracy of some members is dumbfounding. Ah well.
This almost brings things back to square one, but with a critical difference: the Senate has begun to fold. Will the House be able to press its earlier advantage? Hard to say. But yesterday's flurry of activity helped their cause a great deal.
