Time to Refresh Marc

So Will and I were doing our best to liveblog the returns last night. It was no easy task, since I only have dial-up at home and Chad's site was groaning under the pressure of so much traffic (how many times was I refused access, even though I was logged in to post? At least a dozen). No big deal, right? We muddled through.

This morning, I go back over to CC to make sure Will turned off the lights, and what do I find but this. The WaPo's Marc Fisher, obviously unaware that neat, new features like "refresh" exist on web browsers, thought we'd struck our tents and gone home. At a little after 8 o'clock. "My bad" he says.

Your "bad" indeed. Thanks to Will for setting him straight.

"You know what the fellow said: In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they also produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love -- they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock." -- Orson Welles, The Third Man

"The graveyards are full of indespensable men" -- Charles de Gaulle

"Oh, so Mother Nature needs a favor? Well maybe she should have thought of that when she was besetting us with droughts and floods and poison monkeys. Nature started the fight for survival and now she wants to quit because she's losing. Well I say, hard cheese!" -- Montgomery Burns
