Here's a Contest for You

Andrew at the Club for Growth is running a caption contest, of sorts, that offers a prize to the winner. Well, that's all the incentive I needed. Go add your own. The challenge is this:

The Hill is reporting that “House Democratic leaders are holding a closed-door meeting with members of their caucus this afternoon to discuss a new slogan for the 2006 midterm elections: ‘Together, We Can Do Better’ or ‘Together, America Can Do Better,’ according to Democratic sources.”

The Club for Growth would like to help the Democrats in coming up with a catchy phrase, so if you have any suggestions, please offer them in the comments section below. At the end of today, we’ll send the lucky winner a Club for Growth t-shirt. To be eligible (and to prevent your entry from being erased) you’ll need to provide a valid email address and you’ll need to refrain from using profanity.

The profanity ban notwithstanding (I can work blue here all I want), it's fun and the contest ends today.

"You know what the fellow said: In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they also produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love -- they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock." -- Orson Welles, The Third Man

"The graveyards are full of indespensable men" -- Charles de Gaulle

"Oh, so Mother Nature needs a favor? Well maybe she should have thought of that when she was besetting us with droughts and floods and poison monkeys. Nature started the fight for survival and now she wants to quit because she's losing. Well I say, hard cheese!" -- Montgomery Burns
